I haven’t blogged much this year. Plenty to say, just not getting cohesive thoughts together at the right time. So, I thought I’d share a poem I wrote over Christmas vacation. It’s my reflection of life over these last five years. Journeying through what has proved to be the hardest time in my life.
Life Lines
Broken hearts and shattered dreams
Life as I knew it ripped at the seams.
Life then was unbearable at best
The strength of my faith – that was a test.
What was then is definitely not now;
Living without faith – I don’t know how!
When struggles come and darkness abounds, I call on my life lines and listen for their sound.
God first, then family and friends
It’s nice to know on who I can depend.
So this time at Christmas life feels so good
And I’m so thankful for everyone who understood.
So when challenges come just meet them with a smile.
For Happiness is one thing that will never be out of style!
