Frosty Orange Creamsicles

One of my favorite cookbooks is Gooseberry Patch Family Favorites! Tonight for a cool, yummy treat, my mom and I are making Frosty Orange Creamsicles. We are having Spaghetti for dinner with our yummy drinks and then we are going to watch Bride Wars. Sound like a fun girl night?

Here is the recipe to our yummy drinks if you’d like to try them for yourself:

6-oz frozen orange juice concentrate

1 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup milk

1 cup ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve immediately or freeze until ready to serve. Make six servings.

I like to add some vanilla ice cream for an extra creamy-smoothy treat!

Hope you all enjoy. What are you doing to do for a girl night, or a family fun evening? Leave me a comment and let me know!

  1. thats so funny we were talking about this recipe when you were blogging. this is almost the exact recipe i use for my faux julius’. add a banana and its awesome too!

  2. Ooh. I am gonna have to try the banana. I don’t have any right now, but I will get some and try it!

  3. That DOES sound good – not chocolatey, but good all the same! ;-P

  4. Someimtes I just need something fruity instead of chocolatey! But chocolate still ranks very high on the list indeed!

  5. what did you think of Bride Wars? I broke down & watched cuz it looked really funny on pre-views. it the infamous words of Randy “it was just alright for me dawg.” lol. I really should start trusting the reviews! Oh well.

    • I liked it. Surprised it was actually pretty appropriate, ya know. And I LOVED the ending – I’m such a girl!
